My apologies for not writing much lately. I'm dealing with a little bit of writer's block. Torn between writing something new that doesn't want to completely reveal itself to me, and a couple of angsty sequels that are demanding attention. After the season finale, I was trying stay on the "Sunny Side of the Street," but the muse is refusing to cooperate. :(

Thought while I'm at it I would shamelessly plug house_lite, the very small community with very little to say. The writing is in haiku, limerick, and drabble form. For the summer with no new shows, I'm mostly posting weekly episode polls, and thought I'd invite everyone over to to visit and vote. Every week a half-season's worth of episodes are listed, and you can choose your favorite. After going through all five seasons, there will be runoffs to see which one is the all-time top House episode.

My humble thanks to a_localfreak for nominating the story and offering such a thoughtful reason to include it in the Library. I’m…overwhelmed.

The story began as a prompt on sickwilson_fest, and was a difficult one to write because of the subject matter. Because the topic was challenging and largely unexplored, I was intrigued with the idea of House and Wilson redefining themselves and their friendship in the shadow of a life-altering event.

If you have ever checked out housefic_meta discussions, you know they can get pretty lively, so I have expectations of receiving concrit that will help improve this and future stories.

I encourage everyone to check out the site and spread the word. You don’t have to be a member or writer to participate. Read the comments and feel free to contribute to the conversation if you have an opinion or question about the story.
